Should schools have a vocational track ?
In my opinion,I think schools should have a vocational track to help students better themselves for their career option. I also think that they should focus on preparing the students for college as well just in case they may want to change their career field,or to higher their education. If vocational schools would include this process,it would become better for students and others that oppose vocational track. Comprehensive schools would not be inherently better than college-preparatory schools because both would be equivalent,,besides the fact that vocational track would be helping the students a bit more with their life decisions. By joining college preparation and career classes all into one, vocational track in schools would not risk exceeding the benefits of education. This way would be better for students and it would also help more students succeed and follow their dreams in life.
If you were a parent, would you buy a doll that misrepresented your values ?
In my opinion,I would not buy a doll that misrepresented my values because I would be playing the role as a parent and would want the best for my child. I will not deny the fact that I would not buy my child a doll at all,it would just have to set my standards. The doll would not look anything like Barbie. It would take on a more baby or little girl type of form. By buying these types of dolls instead,I would not have to deal with any implications of the doll's body type. I also would not have to lecture my child about undergoing surgery just so her body could look the same to make her become more appealing to others. I do not want my child to worry about her body or boys at an early age. I would want her to enjoy life as well, and to worry about the important aspects like school, her career, sports, and other good interests she may want to seek. I would want education to empower my child because it will set her far.
Should handguns be illegal ?
In my opinion,I think handguns should be illegal at all times. If handguns were illegal, crime rates would decrease and more people would live safer lives. Many people would not have to be terrified during the day or in their homes from the terrible schemes of criminals. Children would not have to find the guns in their homes and kill themselves accidentally or having to grow up thinking they should own one just to seem "cool" or be safe. Importing guns from other countries should also be illegal so that people would not have any subsequently thoughts of ever doing something wrong to hurt anyone. We people, as individuals, should all want to live better lives and the best for young children. Making guns illegal should become a dominant argument all over the world to make people understand that guns are the cause of robberies, suicides, and murders. We all should want to help each other live healthier and crime free lives. If guns were already illegal, perhaps the commission of all those murders, suicides, and robberies could have been prevented.
CRUDE REALITY
The event that has inspired this specific picture is the wars that have been fought in Iraq and Afghanistan with the U.S. and Britain over oil. The soldier in the picture is wearing a two seperate uniform of U.S. and Britain with two broken legs, and is sitting on a stool that looks like oil derricks to represent the reason as to why the war was even started at all.The symbols that are shown are the flags in the background for the two different countries that have fought, the oil to represent the money and wars, the soldier's broken legs for the many soldiers that have fought in battle, and the word "CRUDE" for the blood that has been sheed in wars.Exaggeration would be the soldiers broken legs from the war fought over oil,and the two different uniforms that he is wearing to show which war.The artist's point of view is to inform others that he is against the crude reality of wars fought against many countries, and the soldiers that have to sacrifice their lives just to justify their country. The message from this particular picture is that several countries fight for power or in this case oil. Another problem could be money that could cause most wars and more soldiers would have to risk their lives in battle. Special interest groups that would agree with the picture's message are the veterans and the countless soldiers that have suffered, died, and sacrificed their lives in wars. I think this picture is persuasive because it helps several countries understand that fighting over something unneccessary, is not worth losing the lives of others. It also shows the fact that we all should get along and reunite as one.
