How theme is developed in Macbeth. "Lovalty vs.Treachery" This theme begins and ends the story and it is also portrayed. Macbeth starts the story as a very loyal soldier who loves his country and king but ends the story turning into what destroys his country. The entire play is revolved around this. This theme shows who is loyal and who is not. It also shows the behavior of how people act for certain things. Macduff also implies this theme for the better of his country did "betray" his king and country by going to the king of England for help. He seemed loyal to macbeth because he was king but ended up betraying him by killing him. The theme "Good vs.Evil",it is not so much as if there is a good and evil person but there are also good and evil intentions. By using both themes this is why the story is so unique and well done. Other themes could be Macbeth shows the incredible insights into what the lure of power can do. This could be shown when Macbeth and Banquo lead the king's army to a victory over two enemies. Another,Once one decides to use violence to further one's quest for power,it is difficult to stop. This theme is seen as Macbeth planted the daggers, drugged them, smeared the guards with blood and killed them. He also killed Siward as well. Here is one more theme that is shown in the story,How ambition and greed can overpower morality and overrun human nature. This can be shown when Macduff kills Macbeth and puts his on a stick, and when Lady Macbeth wanted Macbeth to kill King Duncan but tried herself and could not. She had thoughts about trying to kill the king so she hung herself. The tones of this story could be morbid , dark and portentous.
